MOTOCROSS

As a volunteer EMT, I get called to participate in activities like this all the time. Doesn’t necessarily mean I am enjoy it. You understand, right?
About the time we start to pack up, a man about 40 is heading our way. He’s obviously been drinking. You could tell by the “walk” he is doing. Right foot forward, slide the left. Right foot forward, slid the left and slip.
Well, can’t be too bad as he is moving on his on accord. I am so ready to leave but this is my job and I am here for the duration.
Anyway, it’s something… which is more than we had all day.
About the time he meanders over to us, I had given up on him. Finally. he comes over to me with a look of concern, holding his left arm.
“Heya. Look, I took a tumble off my bike. I’m not hurt or nothin’. I just want to know if my shoulder is supposed to sound like this.”
With that he proceeds to raise his shoulder up and down, back and forth -- sounds of bones sounding like someone grating their teeth together.
I gritted my teeth and politely asked him to stop.
“Well?” asked the man.
“No. It should not sound like that,” I said.
“That’s what I thought. Thanks,” he politely said. He then left my tent before I could take a look at him.
Never heard back. Guess it really didn’t hurt.
