"Deck Gun Dante"

The deck gun was leaking on Engine 5 so a call was placed to have it fixed. Dante, a firefighter at the station, went to set the deck gun up and turn it on to show the leak to the maintanence man. Once the water was turned on, it came loose from its setting, turned and fell right into the cab of the engine, flooding the whole front with water. The cab door was opened to survey the damage and a ton of water came pouring out with a waterfall of gear, the Lt.’s helmet and such floating out over everybody and everything. The computer, which had been recently fixed, was unusable.

For a week or 2 after the incident, whenever the engine would go out on a run, the siren would sound like a sick dog.

Oh, and Dante was honored with a nickname - Deck Gun.
