IN MEMORY OF JIM

We all have a common bond each helping in our own way.
A way of life for us answering the calls.
Nothing special just a routine part of our lives.
But then came the call that lasted through the night.
A friend, a fellow crewman... a rough one for us all.
The response is overwhelming we handle you with care.
We see the pain in your eyes and feel the pain in our
hearts.
We know it's bad and we fight for you.
Please, God, don't let him give up the fight.
We lose the battle, we lose our friend.
This isn't real, it can't happen now.
You are gone but our lives go on... empty.
Then comes the next call and we respond again it's a
part of our
lives.
We handle them with care.
Although we feel the loss... we feel your presense
guiding us
there.
All of us together... each helping anyway we can.
Back home again... waiting for the next call.
In memory of our fallen brother and friend... Jim
Coleman.
JAH
Jim was 39 years old and had a massive heart attack.
He was a
FF/Paramedic with Hebron Vol. Fire Dept Station 5.
Jim and I
were very close not only at the station but in our
personal
lives as well. We rode together all the time.... We
even helped
deliver a baby boy which is another story in itself.
I rode in
with him that night and at the time my real job was a
Cardiology
Asst. II at the hospital in the Cardiac Cath Lab and I
was the
one on-call. He held my hand and told me he was scared
and
wanted to keep his necklace (a saint that watched over
firemen)
with him which I placed in his hand. I remember
watching it
fall when he went out.... It was like it was in slow
motion. Even
to this day, I can recall every detail of that night.
Jim is
still missed by all of us.
